If you sell personalized products — engraved jewelry, monogrammed apparel, gift sets with a handwritten note — you've probably run into the same wall every brand like yours hits eventually: most 3PLs simply aren't set up for it.
Standard fulfillment centers are built to move identical boxes as fast as possible. Personalization breaks that model, so most 3PLs either can't do it at all, or outsource it to a third party, which means your "same-day" fulfillment quietly turns into a multi-day detour every time an order needs a personal touch.
In short: Redwolf 3PL handles personalization in-house from our Toronto and GTA facility — including laser engraving on gold and silver jewelry (flat and, with a rotary attachment, curved pieces like rings), embroidery, handwritten notes, gift wrapping, and light assembly — so personalized orders ship on the same timeline as standard ones, not a separate slow lane. The Jewelry Engraving Gap Specifically
If you sell fine jewelry and need daily order fulfillment with engraving included, this might be the hardest combination to find in Canada. Most jewelry brands end up choosing between a 3PL that ships fast but can't touch personalization, or a skilled engraver who isn't set up for daily ecommerce volume. We built Redwolf to close that gap.
Our laser engraving system handles flat pieces — pendants, charms — directly, and with a rotary attachment, it can also engrave curved and cylindrical items, including rings, evenly around the surface, inside and outside the band. That's a combination — daily fulfillment plus in-house jewelry personalization — that we don't see many other 3PLs in Canada offering. Learn more about Vault by Redwolf
It's Not Just Jewelry
The same in-house approach applies across our other personalization services:
- Embroidery, through an established local partnership, for monogramming and stitched personalization on apparel and bags
- Handwritten notes, a small detail that automated fulfillment simply can't replicate
- Gift wrapping, including custom or holiday-themed options — a straightforward way to justify premium pricing on gift orders
- Light assembly and kitting, for products that need final assembly or bundling before they ship
There's Also a B2B Side to This
Some brands sell personalized products through retail partners using a showcase or sample model — a customer sees a sample product in a retail store, places a personalization order, and the retailer forwards that order to the brand. We can sit behind this entire process: holding your stock, receiving order details, personalizing the item, and shipping it either directly to the end customer or back to the retail location for in-store pickup. This lets a brand offer real personalization through physical retail without the retailer needing to stock or manage the customization themselves.
Why In-House Actually Matters
The difference between in-house and outsourced personalization isn't just speed, though that's real — outsourcing typically means shipping product to a third party and back, adding days to what should be a routine order. It's also consistency and quality control. When the same team handling your inventory is also handling the personalization, there's one point of accountability instead of a handoff where things can go wrong.
Based in Toronto, Minutes From YYZ, Serving the GTA and Beyond
Redwolf 3PL operates from our Toronto, Ontario facility, close to Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Many of the brands we work with — including jewelry, apparel, and gift brands — are based outside Canada and rely on us to add the personal touch to orders reaching their Canadian customers. We also work directly with Canadian-based brands throughout the Greater Toronto Area and beyond.
The Bottom Line
If personalization is core to what makes your brand memorable, your fulfillment partner shouldn't be the reason it slows everything down. In-house engraving, embroidery, and custom touches mean your most personal orders ship just as fast as your standard ones.
